August bird sightings at Bentsen-RGV State Park include the Black-bellied Whistling-Duck, the Plain Chachalaca, and the Snowy Egret.  A Green Heron and a Gray Hawk were also observed this last month.  Check out the Park’s website for more details.

Jeni, manager of the Resort, spotted a visitor from Bentsen-RGV State Park recently–a beautiful bobcat.  His leisurely pace through the Resort allowed everyone a great look.

Met new friends while they were working out their dogs in the dog agility course at Bentsen Palm Village RV Resort a few Saturdays ago. It was a great workout for man and beast.

Pygmy owls have been seen recently at both Bentsen-RGV State Park and our own Bentsen Palm Village RV Resort. The owl in the park was so small, it must have been a baby. Seemed as interested in watching us and we were in watching it.
